IDCARE has been providing support for small businesses since its opening in 2014.

Now the service has been given a significant boost, with the Federal Government announcing IDCARE as the successful provider for the new $11.2 million Small Business Cyber Resilience Service.

The Service will provide free, tailored one-on-one assistance to help small businesses navigate their cyber challenges, bolster their cyber resilience, and help them to recover from a cyber attack.

IDCARE’s Managing Director, Dr David Lacey, was grateful to the Federal Government for providing the Service a boost which will allow it to reach more of Australia’s2.5 million small businesses.

“Small businesses are an attractive target for cyber criminals,” Dr Lacey said.

“They are owned by hardworking Australians, many who are struggling to stay a step ahead and juggle multiple priorities.

“Cyber incidents come out of left field and cause major disruptions. We know many small businesses struggle to recover.

“At IDCARE, we help provide these small businesses the support they need to understand how to respond to a cyber incident and protect themselves going forward.”

IDCARE is providing a free online webinar on 14 October at 11am (AEST) to educate small businesses on current threats and how the IDCARE service can help them.

It will be hosted by Dr Lacey who has assisted thousands of businesses – both big and small – navigate a data breach or cyber incident.

Register for the webinar at IDCARE.org/register.

The Small Business Cyber Resilience Service has been funder under the 2023-2030Australian Cyber Security Strategy, which is part of the Government’s investment of over $60 million to help small businesses uplift their cyber and digital capabilities.
